Mateup's face recognition technology is based on modern artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. The system converts each participant's facial features into a unique digital signature, allowing it to automatically tag you among thousands of photos.
## How Does the Technology Work?
The face recognition process consists of three main steps:
**1. Face Detection:** All faces in photos are detected and their positions are determined.
**2. Feature Extraction:** Unique features for each face (distance between eyes, nose shape, face contour, etc.) are converted into a mathematical vector.
**3. Matching:** The participant's profile photo is compared with faces in event photos and matches are found.
## Privacy and Security
Mateup stores all face data encrypted and uses it only during the event. Participants can delete their data and exit the system at any time.
