Face recognition for event photos
Send every guest their photos.
Upload the photos once. Mateup recognizes each guest and delivers their photos to the Mateup app on their phone.
100 free photos per organization. No card required.
How it works
Follow one guest from upload to phone.
The photographer publishes 12 photos. Maya appears in 5 of them, and those 5 are the only ones that reach her phone.

Three steps
Your photographer uploads. Mateup does the rest.
Upload
Photographers upload in the web panel and approve what guests will see. Near-duplicate shots are caught before upload, so you don't pay for them.
Match
Mateup recognizes every guest who joined the event, in every photo they appear in. Nobody tags or sorts anything.
Deliver
Each guest gets a notification, and their photos are waiting in the Mateup app.
Verify once
Guests verify their face once, not at every event.
Verification happens once, in the Mateup app, with a liveness check that confirms a real person is in front of the camera. After that, guests join each event with a link, a code or a QR scan.
- No selfie station at the door
- Returning guests are already verified
- Photos arrive as a notification
Privacy
Face recognition your guests can say yes to.
Guests choose to take part, with explicit consent in the app, and can opt out whenever they want.
Photos go only to the people in them
Every face is verified with a liveness check, so photos reach the real person, not someone holding up their picture.
A template, never a photo
Matching uses a mathematical template that can't be turned back into an image. Liveness data is deleted within 15 minutes.
Guests stay in control
Each event has its own face collection, and face data is never used for advertising. Guests can delete it at any time.
Who it's for
For organizers and the photographers they work with.
Organizers & agencies
You've already paid for the photography. Mateup makes sure the photos reach every guest, and nothing goes out before it's approved.
- Invite photographers, co-hosts and check-in staff
- RSVP, guest approval and QR check-in
- Live numbers for guests, check-ins and photos
Photographers & studios
Deliver every shot to the people in it without tagging a single one. Upload from the browser, approve the batch and move on to the next job.
- Bulk upload from the browser
- Near-duplicates caught before upload
- Nothing goes out until you approve it
For guests
All guests need is the free Mateup app.
Available on iPhone and Android. The app is where guests verify once and where their photos arrive, from every event they join.
Questions
What organizers ask first.
Why do guests need an app?
The app is where guests verify their face once and where their photos arrive, from your event and every one after it. It's free on iPhone and Android.
What do we need to do on the day?
Share the event link or QR code with your guests and invite your photographers to the event. Photographers upload and publish from the web panel, and Mateup takes care of matching and delivery.
When do guests get their photos?
When a photographer publishes a batch, Mateup starts matching and notifies every guest it finds. Photographers can publish during the event or after it.
How is face data protected?
Guests opt in with explicit consent. Mateup keeps a mathematical template, not a photo, and deletes liveness data within 15 minutes. Each event has its own face collection, and guests can delete their data at any time.
Can we control what guests receive?
Yes. Nothing reaches guests until a batch is published, so every photo can be reviewed first. Each event also has its own privacy settings, including turning face tagging off.
What does it cost?
You pay per uploaded photo, with one-time packages. There's no subscription, credits never expire, and near-duplicates caught before upload don't count. Every approved organization starts with 100 free photos.
Try Mateup at your next event.
Every approved organization gets 100 free photos to start, shared by the whole team. No card, no subscription.
